Sexuality is lifelong: supporting sexual health and long-term care settings

Support the sexual health and well-being of seniors in long-term care.

This training has been specifically tailored to support professionals in long-term care (LTC) settings to discuss sexual health with their clients and residents.

This workshop explores how sexuality may emerge in LTC settings and highlight the importance of sexual expression as it relates to overall wellness. Participants will have the opportunity to identify their own personal attitudes and values about sexuality, while examining ethical considerations and professional decision-making that are important for talking about sexual health with LTC residents. Participants will leave this training with practical strategies for supporting sexuality and sexual health for in people in LTC settings.
